Tbilisi has urged Ukrainian authorities to extradite former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
In a statement on February 17, the Georgian Prosecutor General's Office said Georgia's former Justice Minister Zurab Adeishvili, who is also currently in Ukraine, should also be extradited to Georgia along with Saakashvili.
The two former Georgian officials are wanted by Tbilisi on fraud, organization of an assault, and abuse of office charges.
On February 13, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the establishment of the International Advisory Council on Reforms and appointed Saakashvili to lead it.
Saakashvili left Georgia after his presidency ended in November 2013.
In August, Georgian Prosecutor-General's Office began seeking an Interpol warrant for Saakashvili.
Georgian Foreign Ministry said on February 16 that it summoned Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia, Vasyl Tsybenko, for explanations regarding Saakashvili's appointment to the post in Ukraine.
