Based in Dakar and registered for the first time in 1996 in the category of small business companies (petites et moyennes entreprises), the Societé internationale de transport et [de] négoce (SITN) operates in the fields of merchandise transportation and trade. The SITN has three employees and for the 2000 fiscal year, the company declared about 31 million FCA in sales (chiffre d'affaires).

Information on whether SITN's employees or officers have been arrested on suspicion of helping the Movement for the Democratic Forces of the Casamance (MFDC) could not been found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate.
