In a 27 February 1996 telephone interview, the Co-ordinator of the Association of Women's Organizations in Jamaica (AWOJA) confirmed that Margarette May Macauley is known to the organization. The source stated that Ms. Macauley is a member of the board of directors of AWOJA and the chairperson of the organization's legal reform committee. The source added that Ms. Macauley has been a member of AWOJA for more than two years and a board member for the past year.

Please find attached a brief description of AWOJA and a media report that has briefly quoted Ms. Macauley.
