These South Sudanese fled Juba amid fighting between rival factions.
President Barack Obama has warned South Sudan after four U.S. soldiers were injured when U.S. military aircraft came under fire during a mission to evacuate Americans from the conflict in the central African country.
In a written statement, Obama said any move by South Sudanese factions to take power through military force would lead to an end of U.S. and international community support for the country.
The statement called on South Sudanese to support efforts to secure Americans in the capital, Juba, and in Bor.
The U.S. military said three Osprey aircraft came under fire as they flew to rebel-held Bor to evacuate Americans. It was not clear who opened fire.
Ethnic fighting has spiraled since last week in South Sudan, which became independent from Sudan two years ago.
