Two Tajik nationals have been detained in Russia's second-largest city, St. Petersburg, as suspects in a double murder.

Russia's Investigative Committee said on July 14 that two brothers – Ohunjon Nosirov, 22, and Aqmal Nosirov, 30 – are suspected of killing two women from Tajikistan, whose names were not disclosed.

The suspects are Tajik citizens who reside in Russia as laborers.

Police say the women's bodies were found in a park in St. Peterburg's Primorsky District on July 12. Investigators say the women were killed on July 11.
