According to an official at the Azerbaijani embassy in Washington, DC, a new citizenship law has not yet been adopted by the Azerbaijani parliament (16 Nov. 1995). As a result, the information contained in the 26 May 1995 letter to the DIRB regarding Azerbaijani citizenship is still valid (ibid.). Attached please find a copy of the mentioned letter.
