One of the four key objectives of the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR) is to expand access to third-country solutions for refugees.

In the lead up the Global Refugee Forum 2023, various initiatives are working on joint pledges to ensure support is as targeted and effective as possible.

To increase opportunities for refugees as well as achieve more equitable responsibility sharing, it is vital that meaningful commitments are made to expand complementary pathways to countries which host fewer refugees and asylum seekers.
