U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has raised concerns over a move by the United Arab Emirates, a key U.S. ally in the Gulf, to shut down a U.S.-funded pro-democracy group.
Clinton said she had discussed the closure of the Dubai office of the National Democratic Institute with Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan.
Clinton was speaking in Riyadh after meeting foreign ministers from Gulf States.
