March 27, 1995, in Algiers, Algeria
Abderrahmani, director of the government-run, French-language daily El-Moudjahid, was killed after unidentified assailants sprayed his car with bullets when he stopped at a traffic light on his way to work. Abderrahmani died of his wounds before arriving at the hospital.
