Information on the above-mentioned topic could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB. However, the first paragraph of the second page of the attached facsimile sent to the DIRB on 14 June 1996 by a lawyer with the firm Attorneys-at-Law Mikijelj & Jankovic in Belgrade states:
The grounds for granting a medical exemption from military service in Yugoslavia are summarized in the Decree on the Criteria for Assessment and on the Medical Examinations and Assessment of Ability for Military Service of Conscripts ("Official Gazette FRY", 86/94). The text of this Decree (in Serbian) is enclosed with the confirmation copy of this letter.
