1,2) According to Article six of the Zambian Citizenship Act,

A person born in or outside Zambia after the commencement of this Constitution shall become a citizen of Zambia at the date of his birth if on that date at least one of his parents is a citizen of Zambia (Blaustein and Flanz 1985, 34)

However, Zambia and Uganda do not recognize multiple nationality so that a child born of a Ugandan mother would have to renounce his or her Ugandan nationality before acquiring Zambian nationality and vice versa. For full details on the law governing nationality in Zambia, please refer to the attached docment.
