Please refer to Responses to Information Requests CUB8539 of 9 May 1991 and CUB9384 of 5 September 1991 for the information currently available to the IRBDC on overstaying an exit permit. Response to Information Request CUB6031 of 18 June 1990 quotes a representative of the Embassy of Cuba in Ottawa as stating that the government of Cuba issues a variety of exit permits, including "definitive exit" permits, "temporary exit" permits, permits for temporary residence abroad, leave extensions and special permits (25 May 1990). The Embassy added that each case is dealt with on an individual basis by the Immigration Directorate (Dirección de Inmigración) of the Ministry of the Interior.
Additional information on the subject could not be found among the sources currently available to the IRBDC.
