Russian investigators are searching for a man suspected of killing and dismembering his six young children.
Russia's federal Investigative Committee said in a statement that the dismembered remains of the children, all under the age of 6, were discovered on August 4 in the family's apartment in the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
The suspect's wife also was reported missing and thought to be dead.
TASS quoted police sources who said a body thought to be that of the suspect's pregnant wife was found in the apartment.
Police in the neighboring Vladimir region, where the suspect was from, said they found the remains of a woman thought to be the suspect's mother.
