International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY)

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) was established by Security Council resolution 827. This resolution was passed on 25 May 1993 in the face of the serious violations of international humanitarian law committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia since 1991, and as a response to the threat to international peace and security posed by those serious violations.  Website: www.icty.org/

Prosecutor v. Dusko Tadic (Appeal Judgement)

Includes the Declaration of Judge Nieto-Navia and the Separate Opinion of Judge Shahabuddeen. The Appeals Chamber remitted the case for re-sentencing. The Trial Chamber II issued its sentencing judgment on 11 November 1999. This judgment was further appealed before the Appeal Chamber, which issued judgment on 26 January 2000.
