German police say they have arrested 211 far-right supporters who went on a rampage on the sidelines of an anti-immigration rally in the eastern city of Leipzig.
The group set cars on fire, broke windows, and vandalized property in Leipzig on January 11, as thousands of supporters of the antimigrant Pegida movement were gathering at a peaceful demonstration.
Police said the 211 people arrested were already on record as being "right-wing sympathizers and or members of violent sporting groups."
The police put the right-wingers in a bus, which was attacked by left-wing supporters.
Germans have been outraged by mass assaults targeting women at New Year's festivities in the western city of Cologne that have been blamed on migrants.
