The Pakistani military says "unprovoked" firing by Indian troops has killed a Pakistani soldier in the latest violation of a ceasefire in disputed Kashmir.
The incident on January 15 was the latest in a series of recent deadly exchanges of gunfire between the two sides along the Line of Control, a de facto border separating Indian and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.
The two countries have blamed each other for the incidents that have left two Pakistani and two Indian soldiers dead over the past 10 days.
It is the worst flare-up of violence between the neighbors in the Himalayan region in nearly a decade.
Earlier on January 15, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said his country's relations with Pakistan "cannot be business as usual" after the killings of the two Indian soldiers – one of whom India says was beheaded.
