Information on the passage of a new law on citizenship in Ecuador could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB. However, Response to Information Request ECU17521.E of 6 June 1994 does have information on the procedures to recover Ecuadorian citizenship. Please also find attached a copy of the Ecuadorian Naturalization Act No. 276 which contains information on citizenship.
