A representative of the Institute on Religion and Democracy stated that according to his sources in the Greek Catholic Church in Ukraine, the Greek Catholic Church has been working with the Ukrainian military to establish chapels and religious services within the military to meet the spiritual needs of those serving in the armed forces (28 April 1993). The representative's sources did not indicate that the Church has any theological difficulty with its members serving in the military (Ibid.).
Additional and/or corroborating information on this subject is not currently available to the DIRB.
