According to a representative of the Kuwaiti Association to Defend War Victims, a Kuwaiti organization based in Washington, if the person has no work permit or work contract and her parents are no longer living in Kuwait, it is almost certain that she will not be allowed to return in Kuwait (26 Oct. 1993). The representative added that if the person is married to a Palestinian, this fact will further complicate her case (Ibid.).
This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum.
