In accordance with the provisions of para (a) of Article 42 of the Interim constitution,

The Revolutionary Command Council have decided in their session held on 15.05.1974 the following:

1. An alien who obtains the Iraqi nationality by naturalization shall enjoy the same rights the Iraqi citizen has regarding the nomination for a job in the official or semi-official state offices, from the date of his acquiring the Iraqi nationality. This action is taken exclusively from the provisions of Article 10 (as amended) of the Iraqi Nationality Law No. 43 of 1963, and Article 7 of Civil Service Law No.24 of 1960.

2. All other legal terms contradicting with the provisions of this resolution shall not be operative.

3. This Resolution shall be published in the Official Gazette and the Ministers shall undertake its execution.
