A representative of Helsinki Watch stated that she is unaware of any reports stating that a Russian or a Jew would be refused medical treatment at a doctor's clinic or hospital in Kishinev based on their nationality or ethnicity (6 Jan. 1994). An on-line search of sources regularly consulted by the DIRB was unable to produce any information on the above subject.

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find attached the list of sources consulted in researching this information request.
