The attached articles provide ample evidence that spouses and children of political dissidents in Albania were sent to concentration camps or banished to remote primitive villages. In 1984, Amnesty International reported that there were thousands of prisoners in Albania, many of whom were charged with religious activity (The New York Times 12 Dec. 1984). A group in Greece claimed that Greeks in Albania were persecuted through "arrests, torture and internment in concentration camps" (The New York Times 26 Feb. 1984).
