Comments These Guidelines supersede the UNHCR Position on the International Protection Needs of Asylum-Seekers from Sri Lanka, issued in December 2006. In July 2009, UNHCR issued a Note on the Applicability of the 2009 Sri Lanka Guidelines, which elaborates on the continued validity and applicabilty of the current Guidelines.
