Dutch Postcode Lottery
About the partnership
Since: 2002
Locations: Numerous countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East
The Dutch Postcode Lottery has supported UNHCR since 2002, providing life-saving support for hundreds of thousands of people who’ve been forced to flee.
It makes annual unrestricted contribution to UNHCR’s work across the world – currently €2.25 million – and funded specific projects across the world.
The Dutch Postcode Lottery has so far contributed €35.1 million to support forcibly displaced people.
It supported Educating at Scale (2016-2017), a program that has given 225,000 refugee children in 12 countries the chance to go to primary school again. In our most recent work together, the Dutch Postcode Lottery and UNHCR helped refugees restore vital forests in Cameroon’s Minawao camp, home to almost 60,000 people.
The Dutch Postcode Lottery’s long-standing support has enabled UNHCR to save lives, run vital projects, and make a real difference for millions of vulnerable people.
