FOR SYRIA EL-MOSTAFA BENLAMLIH VISITS RURAL DAMASCUS

On 24 January, the RC/HC a.i. El-Mostafa Benlamlih, accompanied by the OCHA Head of Office and a UN team, visited Harasta City in Rural Damascus Governorate and Jobar neighbourhood in Damascus Governorate. The purpose of the visit was to get an update on the humanitarian situation in East Ghouta and the impact of the electricity and fuel shortages on basic services and livelihoods. The delegation visited UN-supported projects and met with various stakeholders and beneficiaries. Read statement here.
