Indonesia - Floods (BMKG, ADINet, ADINet) (ECHO Daily Flash of 17 March 2023)

Heavy rainfall continues to affect several parts of Indonesia, causing floods and leading to displacements and damage.

According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), in Luwu Regency (South Sulawesi), 128 people have been displaced, and almost 1,500 have been affected. At least 50 people have been evacuated in two evacuation centres, and approximately 7,400 others have been affected in Gresik Regency (East Java Province). In East and South Kalimantan, more than 6,100 people have been affected.

On 17-18 March, light to moderate rain with localized thunderstorms are forecast over the affected Provinces.
