According to the Consulate of Cuba in Montreal, a foreigner who acquired permanent resident status as a consequence of marriage to a Cuban national must redefine his or her status after a divorce (30 Nov. 1992). The individual must discuss his or her particular situation with the immigration authorities in Cuba, who have the power to decide on the status of foreigners (Ibid.).

Additional and/or corroborating information could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB.
