A list of the Roman Catholic churches in Khartoum could not be found among the sources currently available to the DIRB. A representative of the "Groupe d'action pour le Soudan" at the White Fathers Missionaries of Africa in Montreal, stated that there are about 10 churches in Khartoum (19 Dec. 1994). According to the Europe World Year Book 1994, "there are two archdioceses.... At the end of 1992 there were about 2.3 [million] adhrents in the country, representing about 7% of the total population" (2772).
