Additional information to that contained in the Responses to Information Requests SLV13641 of 5 April 1993 and SLV13171 of 15 February 1993, which are both available at your Regional Documentation Centre, is currently unavailable to the DIRB. Please find attached a media report of 24 February 1992 which states that "Salvadoran soldiers mutilated the arms of an army deserter accused of being a rebel" (Notimex Mexican News Service).

This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints.
