In a 28 August 2000 telephone interview with the Research Directorate, the secretary to the Archbishop of León, Guanajuato State, stated that she was unaware of a an evangelical group called Action Missionaries of Love (Acción Misionera del Amor) and added that all groups linked or affiliated with the Archdiocese are Catholic. She further stated that roughly 96 per cent of the Guanajuato population is Catholic.
