According to a representative of the High Commission of India in Ottawa, a man whose wife is a national of India may apply for Indian nationality after five years of residency in the country (14 Oct. 1992). At the end of this period, there are no further impediments that may delay acquisition of nationality (Ibid.).
Additional and/or coroborating information is currently unavailable to the DIRB in Ottawa.
