No reports of a Shiv Sena president called Sham Sharma could be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate. However, the following information may be of interest.

On 25 Novenber 1998 The Tribune reported that Dr. Arvind Sharma, a former MP, had resigned his position as president of the Haryana branch of the Shiv Sena.

A 12 January 1999 report in The Hindu identifies Pawan Gupta as the head of the Shiv Sena in Punjab, while a 10 January 1999 Tribune report identifies Pawan Kumar Gupta as president of the Shiv Sena Punjab branch. However, a Tribune report published several months later described Surinder Dogra as president of the Shiv Sena Punjab branch (14 May 1999).
