However, according to the October 1996 Travel Information Manual, re-entry permits are required for alien residents and holders of residence visas wishing to return to Yemen. According to Yemen: A Lonely Planet Travel Survival Kit, re-entry visas are only granted for short-term travel abroad (Jan. 1996, 57).
