Information on the organization of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in Canada is currently unavailable. However, the following information on the presence and activities of the LTTE in Canada may be noteworthy.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the LTTE publishes a newspaper by the name of Ulahath Thamilar (World Tamils) in Toronto (BBC Summary 22 May 1992).
Reuters reports on a telephone interview with an LTTE source in Canada (17 Oct. 1992, 1). The report refers to a daily LTTE bulletin (its name is not provided) which is published in "France, Canada, Britain and other western capitals where large numbers of Sri Lankan Tamil refugees live" (Ibid.).
