According to the last paragraph of page two of the attachment, asylum claimants are issued temporary residence permits by the Greek government that are valid for two to six months (UNHCR). It is unclear whether these temporary residence permits are the adeia paramonis (permission to stay) that are mentioned in Response to Information Request 17497.E of 9 June 1994. Information on the "card of refugee claim" could not be found among the sources consulted by the DIRB.
This Response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. This Response is not, and does not purport to be, conclusive as to the merit of any particular claim to refugee status or asylum. Please find below the list of sources consulted in researching this Information Request.
