For information on the above-mentioned topic, please consult the attached 30 May 1996 facsimile received by the DIRB from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany which states that jure soli does not apply in Germany and that a child born in Germany is only entitled to receive the nationality of his or her parents.
