The BBC attachment of 28 July 1995 makes brief reference to a 25 July 1995 terrorist attack on a Paris metro, the responsibility for which has been claimed by the Algerian Armed Islamic Group, as well as the Algerian Islamic Jihad in Frankfurt, Germany.

The attached Libération and Reuters articles discuss the arms trafficking through Germany to Algeria by Islamists (4 Jan. 1995; 1 Aug. 1995). The former also makes mention of the GIA.
