1. There is no information currently available to the IRBDC which is specific to social clubs in Zurich operated for ethnic Albanians from Yugoslavia and Albania. However, the attached articles indicate that there are a number of ethnic Albanians in Switzerland who have actively demonstrated against the government of Yugoslavia's treatment of Albanians in Kosovo, a province of Yugoslavia (Reuters 2 June 1990; Ibid. 1 July 1989; Ibid. 3 March 1988; BBC Summary 5 Sept. 1989; Ibid. 15 April 1988; Amnesty International 1985, 50).

2. Various reports indicate that Jusuf and Bardhosh Gervalla, ethnic Albanians from Yugoslavia, were political activists living abroad who supported independence for Kosovo (Reuters 18 Jan. 1982; BBC Summary 18 June 1986; Ibid. 19 July 1982; Rullman 1981, 72). The Gervalla brothers were murdered in January 1982 (Amnesty International 1985, 50; Reuters 18 Jan. 1982; Rullman 1981, 72; BBC Summary 19 July 1982; Ibid. 21 Jan. 1982). For further details, please see the attached articles.
