Further to our telephone conversation, the IRBDC contacted the Arab League in Ottawa and asked whether there is risk to returnees other than Christians. The official stated that, in general, there is no risk to anyone although there might be special cases such as having been involved in activities against the Syrians or Lebanese Forces, in which persons could be detained for questioning.

The IRBDC cannot corroborate this information from its regular documented sources at this time.
