Face-to-face Fundraising
Face-to-face (F2F) Fundraising
Face-to-face (F2F) Fundraising is one of UNHCR’s most important and most effective ways of recruiting supporters for our work for refugees in Malaysia. As the name implies, it is a person-to-person recruitment method that involves asking individuals to become supporters of UNHCR through regular monthly donations via credit card or debit account by our online sign-up system, which is highly secure.
For legitimacy and security reasons, our UNHCR fundraisers will not accept any form of cheque or cash donation, either in person or by email/text message.
Our fundraisers can be spotted through the following identifiers:
- Official UNHCR identification badge and supporting documents stating personal information.
- They will be wearing a UNHCR visibility vest.
- Tablet that contains UNHCR campaign slides and our official sign-up forms; and
- UNHCR exhibit booth and banners containing UNHCR campaign materials.
Fundraisers who do not use ID cards, T-shirts or vests bearing the UNHCR logo, do not carry UNHCR campaign materials or work alone can be identified as fraudulent fundraisers. If you are in doubt, do not give out personal information, make any payments or donations. You can call UNHCR to verify their validity.
