We are pleased to share with you the Quarter 2 Protection Analysis Update recently published by the Protection Cluster in Afghanistan that can be accessed here.

This brief presents the protection situation in the country, based on the findings and outcomes of the Protection Monitoring that our partners are carrying out country-wide through Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews and Household-level interview modalities. It also follows the new guidelines of the Global Protection Cluster providing an analytical framework for protection (PAF).

The data depicts an increase in civilian casualties and protection risks, deprivation of freedom of movement and forced displacement. It also highlights health, livelihood, education, and WASH as the main services denied or inaccessible due to the cost, unavailability of services, lack of documentation and access to information about services.

The corresponding Household-level interactive dashboard can be accessed here.
