World Refugee Day is commemorated to honour the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are forced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict, and violence.
This year on World Refugee Day, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, will host live updates on this page, highlighting a selection of activities, stories, videos, and information on refugees in Malaysia. Feel free to share ones that inspire you, with your network of family and friends.

Today is World Refugee Day, and, as you read this, an unprecedented 100 million people have been displaced by war, violence and persecution.
We have launched a special campaign to create a global movement of solidarity with refugees.
We ask everyone to upload their photo with our solidarity ribbon to show that they stand #withrefugees around the world.
