At high school he was paired with Brian Whitmer, a visual impairment specialist, who took him to a sports programme for visually impaired students in Michigan, United States of America, and encouraged him to try the long jump.

He designed one of the variations of the logo for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
