When and where did you begin this sport?
He began playing Para ice hockey in August 2013.
Why this sport?
A friend persuaded him to try the sport. He initially had to practise skating in a borrowed sledge on frozen lakes in Sweden because it was difficult to find ice time in an arena. "I liked the sport because it was intense and I had good friends to play it with. The standard of the sport is really high compared to what I was doing before with wheelchair floorball."

After injuring his back in 2006, he suffered a constant pain and became addicted to pain killers. "I was constantly looking for places where I could find peace of mind. They became more and more important. Once, I sat in the car with my daughter and saw how life [with addiction] would go in front of my eyes. Then I decided, 'This is not going to happen'."
