He has represented Sweden in Para swimming and won silver in the S6 400m freestyle at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, narrowly failing to defend the title he won four years earlier in Beijing. Impairment
Following a series of medical accidents between 1995 and 1997, he was left with paraplegia and was bedridden for five years. It was only when an old friend challenged him to swim in a 3km open water race in 2002 that he rose from his bed. (andersolsson.se, 08 Mar 2015)
