Injuries
She broke ribs in a wheelchair racing crash on day one of the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. Despite the injury, she continued to compete and finished seventh in the 5000m, eighth in the 200m and was part of the wheelchair basketball team that finished fifth. (toronto2015.org, 2011)

Awards and honours
