He began training in 2007 at the Megalonisos Sport Club in Greece.
Why this sport?
"I always liked swimming when I was a kid. And I believed that this sport is something that is suitable for me as it is a liberating sport. I don't need to use a wheelchair. But I also would like to do equestrian and tennis."

Finishing fourth in both the SB3 50m breaststroke and 20 points 4x50m freestyle relay at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, and competing in the S5 200m freestyle at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
