Guadalajara 2011 Parapan American Games
The Guadalajara 2011 Parapan American Games attracted 1,300 athletes from 26 countries, who competed across 13 sports: archery, athletics, boccia, cycling, football 5, goalball, judo, powerlifting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis.
They took place from 12-20 November, with Brazil topping the medals table after winning 197 medals overall, including 81 golds, 61 silvers and 55 bronzes. Thirteen of the participant countries reached the podium at least once.
These were the second Parapans to be held in the same city as the Pan American Games, following the success of Rio 2007.
