World Para Dance Sport works with a number of global education partners and organisations in order to develop and grow the sport

With the continued growth of World Para Dance Sport; specifically, with more athletes competing and more competitions taking place, there is an increasing requirement for qualified officials, coaches and classifiers.

World Para Dance Sport will support you through your further and continuous training and development. Our pathway programme outlines how you can progress in your training and development through national, regional and international sport events. 

World Para Dance Sport will continue to inform NPCs of all upcoming education programmes via this website and by email. We welcome initiatives from National Paralympic Committees, National Federations and Local Organising Committees to host education programmes.

Application process, questions and information request
If you have an interest in becoming involved in one of our education programmes, please complete the necessary form or similarly, if you like to host an education course, you can complete the host application form. Find out more information about our education programme below.

TECHNICAL OFFICIAL training courses

World Para Dance Sport Technical Officials training courses are designed for either new participants who wish to become an official, or existing officials who are looking to develop their skills through additional training. World Para Dance Sport offers a comprehensive training and support system to enable officials to develop and progress along the training pathway. 

CLASSIFIER training courses

A number of training opportunities exist for suitably qualified individuals who are interested in becoming classifiers for World Para Dance Sport. 

Classifier training for all World Para Sports is coordinated through the IPC Medical and Scientific department. More information about upcoming training opportunities for classifiers can be found on the IPC website.

COACHES

The World Para Dance Sport Introduction to Coaching Programme is designed for new coaches who are interested in becoming certified Para dance sport coaches. In the future, we will look to offer advanced level courses for experienced coaches who wish to further develop their skills to work at an elite level.
