When and where did you begin this sport?
He began skiing at age 13, and started training seriously in the sport at age 16.
Why this sport?
Although he began skiing at age 13, he did not enjoy it so he quit after one year. When he was 16, coach Nikolai Kireichev asked him if he wanted to train seriously, and he agreed.

Training Regime
He trains for up to three hours each morning, and for one to two hours each evening.
